  Alice is a little dangerous for women. I was once driving from the Rio Grande Valley to Austin and stopped to gas up. It was during the week and early afternoon. When I went into the gas station, two men started following me. I was a grey haired woman in my 60’s then. They followed me all the way to my car and only turned away when they saw my adult son in the passengers seat. My female students (young adults who traveled in groups) would tell me that they were frequently followed by cars or trucks in Alice by aggressive male drivers and male passengers especially when passing through at night. This suggests that Alice might not be a good choice.

  Harlingen is nice and low &nbsp;cost. &nbsp;Slipping across the border for roasted goat was really an awesome treat. The spring &nbsp;winter and fall &nbsp;are alright. &nbsp;Summers are hot and long. &nbsp;<br>God bless America and God Texas.

  I loved the looks of the house for sale in Beeville. &nbsp;I&apos;m currently living between two small towns in Texas (not mentioned) and very happy with my choice. &nbsp;83 miles from the nearest big city.
