  Dana doesn't like any reporters that challenge him, he surrounds himself with Yes-Men at the pre/post fight conferences, so it isn't surprising that Ariel isn't around anymore. Ariel is an actual journalist who doesn't shy away, like it or hate it, he's a good journalist and properly covers stuff. He asks hard questions that people don't like, but I respect that about him.

  Love him or hate him. He is the only voice without self interest in the sport. The problem is not Ariel. The problem is, there aren't other independent MMA news media.

  Imagine the NFL banning Adam Schefter because he put out a breaking news story about XYZ NFL team accepting offers to trade XYZ player, or cut them. Happens in almost all major league sports, where those 'Insiders' break the news before league, players, agents, or anyone else publicly releases it. They don't go to the NFL to ask permission first.

  Imagine the owner of the nba told michael jordan you are NOTallowed to be sponsored by nike, YOU HAVE TO WEAR THESE NBA SHOES...This is what dana does<br>Edit- since the nike example is hard to understand clearly after looking at my replies. I’ll help you understand. Look at nascar each car has 100 different brands, or boxing or even other mma promotions (maybe this is a better example) all these guys get to put whatever brands on their cars/gear and get x amount of $. Ufc used to be like that but now they get a % and forced to wear ugly venom gear + shoes by THE ROCK?! Lmao

  I remember when Ariel asked Dustin about how much made on a fight he had a week ago and I remembered that bothered Poirier so he politely ask Ariel not to ask him about that. And although it was bold to ask a fighter a personal question about his finances, he respected Dustin&apos;s request and never brought back up again.
