  My uncle was a life long bow hunter. Recurve bow, crossbow, you name it. The eeriest thing he ever "encountered," was silence. He was making his way along a small ridgeline,  getting ready to descend into the small valley below. A slow moving stream moved through the middle of the valley, so he went to look for prints, scat, etc. Just as he began making his way down, everything went silent. He stopped and waited. About 30 seconds later a large bear came hauling ass along the stream, passing him in mere seconds. He didn't see anything, hear anything (besides the sudden dead silence), or smell anything. But he made a business decision and quickly left the area. My uncle told us "Whatever scared that big ole bear, I don't want to meet!" That was in the mountains of Northern California. Probably late 70s or early 80s. I heard this story when I was 12 years old or so. I am 57 now. I've never forgotten it. My uncle was a large man with large hands. Strong as an ox. Nothing scared him. That did. We could see it on his face when he told us.

  I've been in the woods all my life.. Never really believed in any other creatures but the ones I've always known about.... Until 2 years ago... While now hunting deer along a cedar thicket when I came face to face with a young female Sasquatch... She was 15 feet from me.. she knew I was coming and just stepped out... We looked at each other for maybe 30 seconds then she turned and walked back into the cedars... I made a straight line down hill to my truck... I was a nervous wreck..... To be honest she was amazing.... Her eyes looked light green with gold.... They are around... Believe that..

  Love these stories. Because I used to be all over the Rockies in the 70s and 80s. You can see some very strange things when you are way out in the middle of nowhere.

  Aint it odd in the second video at the end of the story how the police said to stay out of restricted areas!??🤔🤔🤔 also thank you for the story from colorado forests. Truly enjoy listening to the different encounters. We truly have no idea what goes bump...........😮😮😮
