For decades we have asked Banks for advice on our economy, and they have advised. Record profits for them and less for us.. Cheers

She’s full of shit! Banks in nz hate lending to businesses and force you to sign personal guarantees and use your house as equity. They take sweet f a risk and this is why we have this productivity (growth issue). Then if your business fails the bankrupt you, mortgagee your house and treat you like a criminal. We need banks taking a punt on more kiwis wanting to get into business to grow our productivity! The USA system is much better for this area!

Not bad Jack, it would have been interesting to push more on the profitability piece, of the top 10 banks worldwide 4 of them are in Australia, so for the NZ arm of ANZ to be performing better than the Aussie counterpart could be really saying something. <br><br>The other comparison you could have pushed with the possible Kiwibank & BNZ merger is the National Bank and ANZ merger from the mid 2000s it would have been interesting to see the perspective of someone who lived through it and come out on top as to lessons learned. <br><br>Top work.
