  I was consistently suprised on MockRock&apos;s inability to consider both memes and vgc as potential reasons for people liking certain pokemon. You&apos;ve seriously never heard of Furret Walk?

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwFbri2m5pg&amp;t=1159">19:19</a> If you’re unaware, Volcarona got the same treatment that Arcanine did, with early development and lore tidbits suggesting it was supposed to be a legendary, but coming out as a regular pokemon in the final version. In it’s release game, Volcarona even had a dedicated mini-dungeon with itself as a static boss encounter in the final room, which is treatment almost exclusively reserved for legendaries. Combine that with access to the move quiver dance, the single best stat boosting move in the entire series with extremely limited availability, and it should be no surprise that many people like it.

  One problem with this kind of voting is that &quot;least common favorite&quot; and &quot;most unfavorite&quot; are not the same thing. If everyone likes the Charizard line but is overwhelmingly likely to pick the final evo, that doesn&apos;t imply the overwhelming majority hates Charmander. I suppose another way to look at this is that if 100 voters all share a 2nd favorite but all pick different 1st favorites, then the most overall-liked &apos;mon gets zero votes. It&apos;s not something worth adding to this format but if we&apos;re analyzing this data to determine a least-favorite, then this is a major shortcoming of lacking ranked-choice voting.

  Those weird &apos;&apos;characters&apos;&apos; in the gen 5 list are pokestar studio characters which act like pokemon and in the game&apos;s code they actually have a typing, they can be used on the gen 5 format &apos;&apos;Hackmons&apos;&apos; on pokemon showdown

  As a shameless Gen 5 fanboy, seeing Meloetta THAT high up in so many categories was bizarre. Especially in the legendary category- I really thought everyone loved Zekrom lol
