Those that are sincere in their want for peace and truth are drawn to God because that is what God is, peace IN truth,
44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him:…
John 6:44 (KJV)
Amen

9 Wherefore we LABOUR, that, whether present or absent, we may be ACCEPTED of him.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences. 2 Cor 5:9-11 (KJV)
Amen

The word "eklektos" doesn't necessarily mean "chosen" or "elect" but could simply be referring to a person's character quality. This can be established by referring to the Septuagint and comparing the use of eklektos to the same text in Hebrew. The Hebrew helps to establish what the writer meant. If this is the case, this would eliminate a good many NT verses as Calvinist proof-texts.

People will read what they want to read into the Scriptures. Each side is claiming the opposition is using eisegesis.

Are you not a calvinist ? This is refreshing i am now subscribed, in my studies all 5 points of calvinism are wrong some say [sam shamoun] "doctrine from the pit" and calvinism as a whole their lens and filter to see all scripture is flawed, the first domino to destroy all 5 points is "L" Limited atonement. Anyone can proof text to support their presuppositions quick example all the LDS members love that psalm that says "yee are gods" to support their wrong theological hope that they will become gods in their own planet and have spirit children. The calvinists love romans 9, when you look at romans 9 it debunks calvinidm and the hardening of pharaoh, the hebrew word means strenthen and though God uses our will and judge's justly. I am afraid for all calvinists who face God and are asked, so you think i decreed all evil that has ever happened ? We all serve a loving God and a just judge he strengthened pharaohs heart because he already did not want to free the jews, its wild to say God decreed pharaoh to hold the jews for 400 years and decreed Egypt to go through the plagues for something God forced on them, God judges because of how bad we are, saying God judges according to what God already decreed we would do before creation is a silly presup and a terrible brush you paint God as a monster, its hard to see the difference between a calvinist and a new atheist you both think we have no freewill, atbeist = chemical reactions in our brain and body. Calvinists = Gods divine decree of his micro management of all things ever done both Good and Evil.

No I disagree completely... Objectively. Both did a really bad job of defending their positions.... Flowers could have easily been refuted and has been by many. White... Hard to understood he seemed frustrated and just off and the Flowers supporters seemed to call that out as evidence of White being defeated... Just really poor debate by both.
