  Finally a review with St Augustine. &nbsp; Thanks for doing this. &nbsp; I grew tired of watching the pansy yankee lawns with their teeny tiny rye grass.<br><br>I would also like to see one of these suckers take on pecan and magnolia leaves and see if it can take it.

  I have had my Luba 3 working for 2 weeks now and so far I like it. Regarding the blade cutting edges. From what I understand the unit rotates the discs in the same direction- always from the outside in. I&apos;ve seen that mentioned in some other videos and I have noticed that when I have cleaned the underside of the Luba, the cutting blades are residue-free on one corner- the working corner. The other corners are covered in some moss-grass type gunk, which is just how it is around these parts here. But that confirms that the other side is not used for cutting.<br><br>What I picked up from another video is that the easiest way to rotate the blades is to first rotate the discs. Then after that rotate the blades and then rotate the discs once again. That way all four corner edges get their money&apos;s worth. <br><br>The app also has a blade monitoring tracker which you have to enable and you can also set the threshold. I went with the default 100 at first, but since it&apos;s my first rodeo with this one. I will see if and how much I will need to change it. I am planning to tune that tracker to the aforementioned disc-blade-disc rotating schedule. <br><br>Another thing: I have a wire fence between two of my mowing areas. I cut a hole in one section big enough for the Luba to fit through, but at first it was fussy about it. So eventually I had to edit the perimeters of both of the cutting areas so that there was a clear separation between them (so it would position itself correctly and not try to optimize). After that I set an &quot;obstacle-free zone&quot; over the channel so the AI and LIDAR would not go nuts about the narrow area that it could clearly pass through. In that zone, the mower shuts off the smart obstacle avoidance and solely relies on the bumper.

  Thank you for this honest review. &nbsp;My property is similar to yours and I’m now convinced that this is not the product for me. &nbsp;Compared to other products, such as a Lymow, the Luba is just a plasticky toy. &nbsp;Thanks again.

  Why does everyone keep testing a maintenance mower on tall grass?

  Mine so far has been doing very well. It takes a slope beside my house with no problems. Most of these robots mowers of this size should cut be cut by gas mower to four inches before use. Then you set a maintenance schedule between 2-4 inches. I got mine scheduled for two time a week. Mine is set for 2 1/2 inches.

  High dry Bahiagrass is one of the toughest to cut even with a gas mower. I would like to know how the mower holds up in the Florida heat in terms of the BMS battery recharging and also if there are issues with overheating of motors. I enjoyed your well done testing review!

  Seen too many videos trying to get the Luba to cut 2 foot tall grass. Get the grass down first guys with a regular mower and then let the Luba maintain the area. &nbsp;This is a maintenance mower not a brush hog designed to cut 2-3 times weekly during the mowing season.
