The sad thing is that you have to have a police agency special unit to cover this stuff that speaks volumes . I’m not going to hit you this time. God what a contradiction.

The father being interviewed slipped up. Did anyone else notice? He references that he isn't going to beat her as he did before. The officer should have picked it up and run with it.

20 years ago I lived in new York and worked with a girl from Bangladesh, she was only around 19 and had an arranged marriage,he was in his 30s. One day she came in and had bruises all around her neck and I said to her please don't tell me he did that to you. Yes, her husband tried to str*angle her. I pleaded with her to talk to her family and asked her would they not be angry if they knew what he was doing and she said yes, they would be but she couldn't say anything because it would shame her family. So so sad

This is so sad ,it touches a nerve in me .I found Aisha mother the most difficult to understand, she seems to have been born here and married in Pakistan, having gone through the same situation she is happy for her daughter to go through. Mote than the father ,I blame the mother as its her job to protect her children 😢 and she couldn't
