  NJ 7a. The best perennial I have is catmint. I never have to deadhead it and it blooms from spring through the fall. The bees absolutely love it.

  Oregon zone 8. &nbsp;Thanks for all the great suggestions. &nbsp;I have been gardening for 50 years. &nbsp;This is a very informative channel . &nbsp;Please keep bringing us new ideas! &nbsp;I hope to find some of the native species. &nbsp;I do plant those in my yard. &nbsp;I also have access to a Master Gardener group that sells native species at their annual plant sale each year.

  7b Norman, OK. I have slowly been converted the many rock beds (no plants) to mostly perennials. The wild petunia, catmint and autumn sage have done really well in my sunny flowers. As has lambs ear, rudibeckia and coneflower. Thanks for some new ideas!

  Guess what I’ve learned. The big box stores like Lowe’s, Walmart, Home Depot dont tell us these things is because they have no clue. 99% of garden center are there for a paycheck. . It’s a shame. I ask questions all the time and they cannot answer. &nbsp;It’s just a job to them. &nbsp; The family owned nurseries know their plants and flowers and will always answer your questions. &nbsp;Native plant nurseries are very knowledgeable. &nbsp;<br>And then we have YouTube school.
