  I believe there is a theory that the reason universal man lost to the first omnidroid, is that with supers being banned and universal man having his whole identity being a super, means he might have had it even rougher than mr. Incredible in adjusting and by the time Syndrome found him, he may have simply wanted to die due to severe depression from losing everything he was.

  it’s a really minor bit of fluff trivia, so inconsequential that i haven’t seen anybody else bring it up, but i appreciate the layer of humor in giving Universal Man the Austrian accent — that being the most famous person WITH an Austrian accent, Arnold Schwartzeneggar, being a Mr. Universe bodybuilder.

  To be fair for Everseer being extremely germaphobic, he had microscopic vision so he could see EVERY single germ there is all the time. So being able to see every germ and that not everyone cleans up thoroughly, I can see why he'd be so terrified of germs

  One theory <i>I&apos;ve</i> seen about the Incredibles is that Universal Man (first super to die, the workaholic who refused to have a civilian identity) and Psychwave (second super to die, the sociopath who stabbed her friends in the back) were Buddy&apos;s parents. The idea is that Buddy&apos;s obsession with Superheroes came as a result of him not being born with powers, that his obsession with Mr. Incredible was a result of him wanting a good father figure when his own was obsessed with work, and that the reason he was able to kill them first was because they were either asleep or refusing to fight back. Syndrome ALSO refusing to have a Civilian identity - &quot;MY NAME IS INCREDIBOY. MY NAME IS NOT BUDDY!&quot; - would be something he picked up from his dad.<br><br>I don&apos;t remember who the guy that made the video was, but he also suggested that Syndrome DID have 1 superpower - his heightened intelligence, which he would&apos;ve gotten from Psychwave, and is the reason he invented functional jet boots at like... 12 years old. I find the theory really compelling.
