  I really like OG Don’t Starve. It’s simpler than DST, and yes, it definitely has drawbacks. But the OG just feels so relentless and lonely, and I kinda love that vibe in a survival game.

  Vanilla don&apos;t starve is very special to me in a way, as i&apos;ve almost been around for the game&apos;s entire lifecycle way back in beta. Klei had a totally different attitude towards the way they were shaping the game back then. Caves were even seen as an &quot;unliked and controversial&quot; update for a while if you can believe that. I dedicate my love and interest of this game to mr.gmview, an old man who could survivive the longest out of anyone i had seen at the time, who is no longer with us, but not forgotten.

  Playing don’t starve ALONE in the first place is like being only restricted to toast and condiments in a buffet<br>Playing don’t starve alone with no ROG is like they ripped away the condiments and only let you have toast

  Hard to believe that I was playing this…. Until I got shipwrecked and realized that I basically got free RoG if i used the seaworthy.

  I played og don&apos;t starve until 2023 because for a long time i thought together was just some kind of multiplayer dlc lmao. there is a lot to do if in og ds if you embrace simple life and fully immerse yourself. i think my longest playthrough was like 80 days (i was bad before i found dst lol) and i was genuinely horrified when deerclops, who i had never dared to try to kill, was chasing me while i was fleeing in a forest at night, and once i finally found a cave to escape to, a nightmare phase together with an earthquake started instantly, ending me and that playthrough. i&apos;ve only been playing dst for 2 years but it feels like such a long time, what a nostalgic video.
