I love this story. ❤ An abused, silent, hard working cook who thought she didn’t have choices to change her life. A mountain man tasted her cooking and the cornbread which tasted like his mother used to make was the best he had. He had to meet the cook and thanked her, then he told her he’d be back in spring and hoped she’d be there. She said she would. A small flame ignited in her with a suppressed hope he would return. He did return in spring and offered her to be his partner and of course she said yes. Right then she dropped her apron, quickly packed her things and off they went. 🥰🥰😍 She should have taken the frying pan! 😅 Yes I want a part 2!!

Hello from Tennessee. The Cornbread was made just like my Mother did it. As I have made it, for more than 50 years. No sugar, white cornmeal. Hot cast iron with bacon grease, or lard. Good story. GOD bless everyone 🧡 🤍
