  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUCqrt0AMVU&amp;t=89">1:29</a> As a Venom comic fan, the tone wasn&apos;t necessarily the issue, as Venom (at least Eddie), is known for having a pretty goofy personality and lines in the comics. My issue was the complete divorcing of the character&apos;s backstory to Spider-Man as Venom is intrinsically tied to the character and as a result all of his character growth was erased. That doesn&apos;t mean that Spider-Man needs to be in a Venom movie to be good, but at least maintaining the connection to the character I think is crucial.

  Who signed off on Kraven as a hero?? His entire thing is murdering cute animals at one point he gets naked eats spiders and ends himself.. imagine hero kraven working and mom&apos;s buying kids that comic.
