  Thank you for the detailed review. We fly to the US from Japan every summer, but the prices from our usual airlines (Delta and American) have gotten too high, so we're giving ZipAir a shot. So far it seems like a good decision, but we'll have to keep a few things in mind: 1. Mind the luggage, 2. Bring our own food, 3. Download our shows to our devices.

  ZIPAIR now offers the Hawaii popular Zippys "chili on rice" as one of its meals on flights from Honolulu, LA, SF, and Seattle to/from Narita. Costs about $12. Best to pre-order before boarding.

  This year I will be flying JAL to Japan (LAX-HND-FUK) in business class and then flying ZIPAIR on the way back (NRT-LAX) lie flat.  Thanks for the video on what to expect!

  I wish you had mentioned how tall your Husband is and if he was comfortable. I am a little over 6 feet tall and my legs cramp up if the leg room is tight. I checked prices last year  and was amazed with the savings. I had planned to go to the Philippines last January but had to cancel. I like your pillow case idea. Thank you for this review

  Few hours about I landed in Houston from Tokyo. <br>I liked it - I flew “flat bed”. Don’t expect business class service but a great comfortable seat. Bring your pillow and food/drinks. <br><br>I’ll definitely do it again.

  Hello first I want to thank you for doing an in-depth video. I do have a question about the luggage do they only weigh the carry-on items? I believe those have to be under 7 kg which is around 15 pounds but my question is for the big luggage that gets checked in. Do they have weigh in requirements for that? I guess my question is we’re going to Japan soon and it will probably be three of us if we all have our own carry-on items for example my purse and each of us have a backpack we get to take that with us in the plane if it’s under 7 kg but if we only pack a big luggage for the three of us would that be only be $85.00? And let’s say on the way back we have an extra suitcase. Do they just check that in before boarding or do we have to do that online?

  Seat selection and meals cost extra. Other than that they are similar to most other airlines with a slightly cheaper cost.

  Would you fly with them again? Also include the price of metro or bus from narita to Tokyo, or city center, that is costly as well.
