Thanks for the tip. I noticed similar with my recent Tamarillo purchase. It had been rooting into the ground at the nursery. I repotted it the day I bought it because of this.

You're so honest that you're ruining your business. Don't worry about their sizes. Some people have HUGE gardens, running into acres. Just let them buy what they want. Look after your business. Tell them the truth once and that's it. You're so nice.

Excellent information. You’re a folksy, knowledgeable person. Now that you have described the general tap root situation, let’s get into us backyard growers ! We have to grow in pots . Sorry I have little land- but high hopes. Let’s describe how to trim back the tap root each year in a 5 gal. Then what does the root ball look like each yr until up potting to a 10 or 15gal. Again, - how to observe, trim and repot- until I must up pot again. <br>How to maintain tree health and size in a half barrel - (max pot size for many of us in our back yard.)<br>Hoping your business is keeping you fed — tough times
