The Marine having Ash Williams personality is just the best decision for this character.

Doom guy is Ash’s daddy so when you hear Ash ask, “Who’s your daddy?” You now know. Or maybe it’s the other way around?

If they got Arnie to be the doomguy for a movie, this is probably how they would’ve characterized him as

It would be awesome if they make Ash(Bruce Campbell) an ancestor of the Doom Slayer/Doom Guy no 🧢

 2:44 Deimos.

He fights the Barons of Hell on Phobos, is teleported to Deimos (which acted as a bridge between our realm and Hell, having been sucked through a portal to Hell, but maintaining the link to Phobos's teleporters).

The Cyberdemon was waiting at the Tower of Babel on Deimos which was a demonic structure being erected on Deimos. This also implies that the cyberdemon itself may have been under construction there, as it is likely the demonic denziens were using UAC machinery to build cybernetically enhanced versions of themselves (If you look at Doom's beastiary, nothing prior to the cyberdemon has any cybernic parts, but just about all the newly introduced monsters after this point are a combination of flesh and metal. Spider Mastermind, Mancubus, Revenant, Archnotron, Icon of Sin)

Anyway, marine fights Cybie on Deimos, and then discovers that Hell is floating above Hell itself, acting as the conduit to our world via Phobos.

Episode 3 takes place on Hell's surface, moving through flesh fields, lava pits, ashen canyons, fortresses made of rotiron, blood keeps, etc etc... Until we arrive at DIS, where the Spider Demon is, and then get back to Earth where this comic apparently takes place... Meaning the comic is basically taking place concurrently with Thy Flesh Consumed.

That was definitely weird. I love how in the middle of his slaughter the guy gives the audience an environmentalist message🤣 (although, it doesn’t really work since the toxic waste is on Mars where there’s not an environment, and the radiation is already a problem since the planet lacks a magnetic field. Unless you’re going to terraform the place, or if there’s life there then using it as a dumping ground doesn’t matter). It’s funny how Doom Eternal referenced this comic😂

I’ve heard there’s Doom books. But, apparently they’re mediocre at best, and absolutely atrocious at worst (a better Doom book would be an adaptation of Doom 3’s original story. Forgot the channel name, but this other guy made a video on it). I’ve also heard that for the Doom movie with The Rock there’s only a few parts actually worth watching, and that it’s mostly just boring. As for the most recent one, I’ve heard it sucks as well. It’s really funny how most of the external Doom media is really bad.

Unrelated, but if you want a really cool game with some crazy deep lore check out Star Control 2. It’s this really cool old rpg where you fly around space and interact with all these really weird aliens. There’s this open source version of the game called Ur Quan Masters, and if you search Free Stars into Steam you can get it for free and wishlist the sequel. I first learned about the game back in middle school from a Yogscast video. It looked really interesting. I recently got it, and haven’t gotten very far into the game. It’s kind of clunky at times, but really interesting. Unfortunately, there’s no quest log, and you literally have to write down a lot of the information given to you. I’m sure there’s a mod that fixes this. It’s super interesting. Since the open source version is free it only costs you time. The writing is super interesting.
