  Infernus going from "some black dude" to "oh yea that's definitely a bartender that shoots fire" is such a testament to how well the artists were able to transform the characters from Neon Prime

  Shoutout to Valve for making Silver's wolf ears to be where the human ears are supposed to be, instead of doing what 95% of artist do and putting the ears on the top of the head

  I think the geniality of Doorman’s design is how "normal" he looks compared with the rest of the roster. But the more you see him, the more you notice how uncanny his appearance is. How his design is completely symmetrical, his proportions are a bit off, his facial features are cartoonishly perfect, the way all the "doors and keys" motifs are literally EVERYWHERE, from his clothes to his name. It really shows the "extradimensional entity trying to imitate humans without comprehending them entirely" aspect very well.

  The first thing i noticed the first time i played is the typography for each individual character and how well their titlecard captures the whole characters vibe

  Valve have definitely found some kind of infinite well of creativity. I've never seen so many people role playing their characters before! All we need now is some meet the hero videos!

  The litmus test for every character is: do people want to cosplay them? If yes, you&apos;ve got good design. Deadlock will be cosplayed to the nth degree

  I think my favorite part of some of the character designs/lore is that some of the characters actually have ties to real world people! Holliday is the granddaughter of a real 1800s gunslinger named Doc Holliday, and Vindicta is a victim of John Hathorne, who was one of the main judges during the Salem Witch Trials! I honestly really hope Valve continues to tie certain characters to real world people. It&apos;s honestly just so cool! (coming from a history nerd)
