I met Vince Gill and Amy Grant in 2004 and he is one of the nicest guys in the world. Amy Grant is such a sweetheart.

Vince Gill. You made The Way Back Home and the choice of Emmylou Harris as a back up singer was spot on. I also love Rosanne Cash and Bonnie Raitt, and the others that were in there, but you and Emmylou made my cry. To this day, to me, that is one of the best songs ever recorded in the history of music. I love a lot of music and a lot of songs, this stands above all because of the message, the music and singing is great, the message still is above all others. I can't believe how many people have never heard it and I wonder why. How did they miss that? I will either play it for them or sing it to them. I learned it fast but it took me many trys to get through it without crying. I still struggle. I have to focus so hard on hitting each note so I don't cry. It is so needed today, as much or more than when it was written. If anyone sees this that matters ask Vince to release this song to the karaoke platforms. I would sing it every time I go just to remind people that we should still "be the childrens eyes".

Vince is simply a legend in his own time. He is a master musician, guitarist, piano player, name it, he can play it or sing it. He’s a great songwriter too…simply one of a kind. He’s so humble and truly gifted, love listening to his music and interviews.
