  You should try spraying some water on the driveway before rolling it. Doesn&apos;t take a lot of water, but it does help add the finishing touches and cut down on the dust as well.

  Nothing critical here but from a family of road builders, &nbsp;your missing link for the finish of all finishes is water. Wet and roll until the surface stays wet. The fines will set up and make the surface 10 times for durable. JMO and personal experience

  Neil, to get the most STONE COMPACTATION, IT is recommended to SPRAY THE STONE WITH WATER before ROLLING!!! :face-fuchsia-tongue-out:

  Well Neil, I work for a municipality and we patch blacktop all the time, I&apos;m the rollerman, and we drive the roller right down the street, sometimes as far as a mile. We just leap frogging our truck and utility trailer down the street as we go it doesn&apos;t hurt the roller to drive on the pavement you just watch out for obstacles that could potentially harm the drum, but rollers are made to drive.

  Big bunch of Blokes here relaxing while watching another man work. I don&apos;t know if this is just a western thing, but there is nothing more satisfying than watching another man work, while I&apos;m sat in my easy chair.
