  I am LOVING reading all of your comments about 80s "preppy" styles you remember (and some even BEFORE the 80s!!)💖 Honestly, I think I might need to make a video dedicated specifically dedicated to all of the different 80s aesthetics 👀

  thankfully most of us gen z teens still understand preppy being like posh blazers, pleated skirts and stockings with chanel bags etc but i don't know what happened when it came to gen alpha.. what went wrong.. 💀

  preppy came from “prep school” and was basically snob academia with a big dose of clean cut. I’m not sure about the correlation to prep school for most of the looks, old or new, except the clueless look, which is a bit of a comedy movie take on preppy.

  Sorry guys, serious prep here from the 80s; monogram everything, polos, izod, sweater tied around nech, Argyle, tweed, duck shoes, pink and green...  loved it. Still wish I had my purse that had buttons to change out your pattern and the decorative belt buckles to change out what color belt you would where. I think my belt buckle was a train. Oh and the gold add a bead necklaces

  seeing nirvana as "preppy" sort of hurts my heart lol. i dont know who decided to make it preppy ecspecially since nirvana songs are the complete opposite of "preppy" . loved the video hope as always you did anamazing job!

  Oh NOoooo!! Vintage preppy goes wayyy far back! 2000 wasn’t close to true prep!!<br><br>True prep skincare was Pear’s soap, Sea Breeze toner, Noxema and carmex.

  I lived through the “Preppy” era. &nbsp;Blazers, oxford button down shirts with a crew neck sweater ( either on or tied around the shoulders), pleated skirts, head bands. &nbsp;Penny loafers or ballet flats. Of course, a bob or feathered hair!
