What I really like about DSLR when photoshooting is that, it really feels like you're holding a REAL camera, OVF and the recoil of the shutter. Mirrorless is fine but it feels like an advanced mobile camera. It's fast and better but doesn't really have the same feeling of a DSLR.

Big advantage of DSLR: camera "on" all day long, shoot as much as you can!

Thank you Jack Wang, this video, like your others, is so beautiful visually, sonically, and has interesting information for us camera and lens junkies!

I’ve kept exactly these three F-mount primes (plus the 500mm 5.6). I absolutely love their rendering, sharp but organic, with such smooth transitions. Absolute legends. Love them.

Bought a used D780 earlier this year for a shade under $1000 US; I wish they could just give it the same firmware updates as the original Z6 that massively improved the AF (only Live View for the D780) but overall I'm very happy with it as someone who hasn't switched to mirrorless yet.

I owned several Nikon DSLRs, including the D780, for many years. I took tens of thousands of photos (not counting burst shots). Yet, a lack of sharpness was always the biggest headache and the cause of wasted shots. I’m not talking about missing focus on a model's eye in a studio setting; I’m referring to challenging scenarios—like action or sports photography—where there’s no time, or situations where the focus point needs to be outside the standard autofocus area. The breakthrough came with mirrorless cameras. So, despite the pain of losing the experience of the optical viewfinder, the "real" feel of the mirror and shutter mechanism, and so on, switching to mirrorless is simply the only option—at least for reportage work. That’s when you can start listing the other advantages, and there are many. So, if funds are tight, just make the switch. But if you have the money, keep your old gear as a form of "absolution." You’ll reach for it very rarely—and increasingly less often—but it will give you peace of mind.

Dude, it’s so cool to see how much your photography has evolved in the short time I have been following. I know this is reviewing the gear but I really enjoyed the shots! Good work, as always.👍
