  I was a Corpsman stationed@ Naval FacilityCenterville Beach... 1975-78....Sickbay was a Branch Clinic of Oakland Naval Hospital.<br>Glad to see the Base finally mentioned ...on the parking lot <br>Information board. <br>Great video.

  I love Ferndale, stayed at the Shaw House a couple times,last time I was there, the new park was in early construction, it looks awesome … I‘ll be there for Christmas ,,, if you see an older guy walking a beagle and a blue tick coonhound around town, that’s me, please come over and say hello.

  Your video is great.<br>I lived in Ferndale for many years and worked at Curley’s &nbsp;bar and grill in the Victorian inn for quite some time. You really captured the town perfectly. I have so many wonderful memories of the people there and what a most amazing community I was privileged to be a part of. I moved back home to La Crescenta in Southern California where I grew up (to get warm) but visit there when I can. I still think of moving back. You should go back and interview the locals, Andy the model ship maker , Marin and Sandy the original owners of the Mercantile (they have the little jewelry and pearl shop next to the theatre. I miss the Ivanhoe, It was a fantastic place for the locals, Thursdays nights with Bill Mc Bride and friends was a don’t miss. Open Mic at Curley’s on Mondays back in the day was always a packed house filled with amazing &nbsp;talent. I worked every Monday behind and bar and really these are my favorite musical memories. Go interview the guys in Papa Joes, lots of good stories there. Tell Richie hello for me. &nbsp;The Pizza Co is the friendliest place with great pizza and the last standing salad bar anywhere. And the Pally (the Palace ) is really the best local place in town. Anyway I could go on and on because I could feel the town in your video ,and your love and respect for it too.Thank you for taking me back in time as the sign on highway101 says.❤❤❤
