  I remember spamming charge smash over and over to deal 50 damage to Tubba’s heart via Hammer Throw, it was unnecessary, but kinda fun using niche and less useful badges.

  Only cool thing about Spin Smash is you can remove a Shy Guy from the Shy Stack when you use it, so they do less damage when they attack<br>Still not useful but it&apos;s a cool interaction

  If you use Spin Smash on Kent C. Koopa&apos;s tail while he&apos;s stuck on his back it causes him to drop coins

  What I find funny about all the worst badges in this game is that most of them were badges I used on my first playthrough as a kid before realizing there were far better strategies on my second playthrough. The benefit of some of these badges, I think, is their simplicity. I may not have realized Ice Power nullifies Lava Piranha&apos;s fire, but Hammer Throw got the job done. I may not have done the math to realize how useful D-down Jump or Power Bounce can be, but Mega Smash does a lot of damage all at once, so that&apos;s what I went with.

  There is kind of a risk/reward system going on with hammer vs jump. hammer&apos;s action commands are basically automatic while the jump takes a tiny bit of finesse especially if you&apos;re a 9 year old renting it from a blockbuster. Of course all the jump moves are going to be better

  I&apos;ve done a few randomizers of Paper Mario 64 with randomized BP costs and there was one seed where I basically got to dual-wield Defense Plus AND Happy Heart and it just, completely solved health forever. By the end of the seed I was sitting on so many health items I literally had no use for because there were less fights in the game than there were chances to get hurt enough to use one. <br><br>Still haven&apos;t found the fabled seed that gives Runaway Pay any use whatsoever though.

  shoutouts to shrink stomp in like. any hard mode mod ever<br>it usually tips the scales enough to get a few more turns than you&apos;d otherwise have, and is usually left as is because it gets forgotten about lol

  &quot;For the Clefts just run away, they&apos;re annoying.&quot;<br>Yeah... or equip D-Down-Pound, one-shot them and get a lot of experience at this part of the game. I always use D-Down-Pound specifically in this area for that reason which makes it useful in my eyes.

  These hammer badges were probably added cause they look cool. I like the wind up animation of spin-smash and hammer throw
