I just read his book "Speaking in God's Name". A very intellectual, fair, and refreshing approach to this topic. He has thoroughly done his research. I would have loved to be part of an 8 hour halaqa on women jurists of the 14th century!! That is truly amazing! Works like that are so difficult to find anywhere. Imagine, a Muslim woman jurist in the 1300s whose husband helped her preserve her knowledge for posterity by being her <b>note-taker</b>- that was how they were a team, and he was not a famous scholar who produced any of his own works either. She's not in his shadow, it's all her. That is absolutely incredible.

Absolutely 💯! My wife is several years older and Alhamdolilah it has taught me so much in terms of humility and respect. She has been a strong backbone when I had to deal with hardship and difficulties.
