  It’s SO REFRESHING to see someone who finally gets it. Way, way too many people do not seem to understand Cloud’s character on a fundamental level. Thank you for this video!!

  For some reason I have always seen Cloud this way since the OG days. I don&apos;t even actually relate much to it but it was pretty obvious to me. But I am very surprised at men being unabashedly stating the truth about this. I think most feel better just relating to the easier parts of gaming and feel uncomfortable with these types of scenarios, either because it hits close to home or they have closed off those parts of themselves for so long. And I don&apos;t blame them.

  Honestly when Aerith said she was trying to find him in Rebirth. That line alone hurt my heart because she saw what everyone else just couldn’t. Having one person see through to the real him and that person be Aerith was just heartbreaking since we know what was to happen.

  You know, I think the biggest &quot;evidence&quot; that FF7 is not about Cloud moving on is actually the ending of OG. There is no way you end a game where the MC is supposed to move on by him reaching out for the girl he lost, then hanging there after almost dying and all he can think about is meeting said girl again in the Promised Land. That&apos;s definitely not what &quot;moving on&quot; and &quot;accepting&quot; that she&apos;s gone looks like lol. <br><br>As always, thank you for this video. It&apos;s so nice to see people that actually get the story upload analysis videos. :) I&apos;ll never understand how people can look at Cloud and think that his story is somehow about becoming a hero for Tifa. Even as a child, the water tower promise seemed so... unhealthy to me. &quot;Come rescue me once you are famous.&quot; I guess you really are really dead on with the whole &quot;conditional&quot; vs &quot;unconditional&quot; love. Though I did always see the lifestream sequence as Tifa sort of &quot;redeeming&quot; herself there and sticking to Cloud despite him not being a hero. Just that, at that point, it&apos;s kind of too late and he move on from her. <br><br>But yeah, I honestly never cared too much about Cloud in OG. But he has grown on me SO MUCH in Remake and Rebirth that he is easily my favourite FF character now. I cannot believe how soft and wholesome Cloud is once you crack his shell (In my language, Cloud&apos;s mom also tells him that the perfect girl for him would be one who can get him out of his shell :&apos;)). I like Cloud most when he&apos;s with Aerith and they genuinely bring out the best of each other. &nbsp;<br><br>That scene with Avalanche at the beginning of Remake where they are celebrating and Cloud is just sitting there all alone will never not be brutal to me lol. It&apos;s so well done and well directed. Definitely an underrated one.

  Great stuff, the lonely masculine figure angle is a home run and great analysis. When you talk about the unconditional love theme it makes me immediately think about Aerith handing over the black materia to only say “no matter what happens, I’m here for you”.
