  Oooooo snow country - hate winter but...<br>I have my hen house in the barn, keeps everyone happy (me included), keep their housing temps around +5C and plenty of fresh water and feed, and they will be fine.<br>Agreed hens are more noisy thany Roos,

  The reason Cities don&apos;t want Roosters in neighborhoods, is because Roosters may start crowing between <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9e0dEEWetcc&amp;t=270">4:30</a> and 5am. Especially in Summer months. Later in Winter, due to sunrise. Plus, if a Rooster is asleep at night. And wakes up and sees any type of light. He may crow at any time of the night. I always kept a light on in front of the Barn. I think my Rooster would wake up and think, &quot;Holy Cow, it&apos;s morning&quot;, and start crowing. Then the next farm Rooster would do the same. Then the next past that one and it became a round robin of night time crowing. Good video, as always.

  Good morning Chad! &nbsp;I hope the recent thaw we got helped you to get all the snow and ice off the farm house. &nbsp;It&apos;s great to see the claw crew roaming around again. &nbsp;I&apos;m happy that Elvis is doing better. &nbsp;It&apos;s cool that his damaged comb can grow back, I would&apos;ve thought it would be permanently scarred. &nbsp;Hopefully the ladies will be nicer to him now.

  You are just what I need this morning with breakfast. I love chickens. We had 75 pet chickens.<br>Weasels were our worst predators.<br>We used a heat lamp on cold nights.

  So true the trains make more noise but no one seems to say much about that in springwater.
