So sad to see their numbers dwindling and some of drowning in opium 😢. In the last 100 years , governments in Kabul never allowed their name to be mentioned in geography books in schools, but Pushtoon tribes were freely crossing border to Pakistan, involved in contraband and crimes against local population with impunity. If I was one of them , would have long crossed the border to Kyrgyzstan for ever.

Hi ! Oh my Kyrgyz folk in pamir! I am from Kyrgyzstan. I was very surprised that they also can speak farsi as well as Kyrgyz language. I remember Kyrgyz government took some families to Kyrgyzstan few years ago. I know a young man from Pamir, he became quite popular in Kyrgyzstan, got married and enjoys his life here. but I also heard that some dont like living in Kyrgyzstan and want to return but maybe when the generation changes, they will get used to Kyrgyzstan. I am grateful that Turkey took some Kyrgyz people to Turkey. They are of course welcome in Kyrgyzstan. I wish them luck and strength. Its very bad that they got addicted to opium - it will kill them.

Depressing as there is a grim outlook for these people. No availability of medical care, high child and maternal mortality, and widespread opium addiction. No education, no opportunities to escape.  I kiss the ground I walk on today.

Cold mountain, not a tree existing around, herds of sheep and yaks, difficult marriages, no schools and hospitals, opium, tents, etc... Thank you for a different perspective on life.

This is the best documentary channel by far.i used to watch DWC but the narraters use this weird voice and style if speaking, it's almost non human. Makes you feel uneasy after a while

I always thought people of snow covered mountains are lucky and blessed cuz they live in such a beautiful place but this video made me grateful that I was born in fertile plains where we can grow crops and build civilization and this place seems cold hell.

what sad depressing lives ,,, any saw the clock which is planted on the walll upside down ,its highly symbolic of the people who have no sense of time or purpose, Praying these nice people have a better future!
