The man who owned the plane he crashed in the Bahamas actually wrote to the court asking for lenience. What a nice guy.

The thought of a 16 year old learning to fly a plane with ms flight simulator on a stolen laptop in the woods is comedy gold

Imagine what this kid could have achieved if he had people around him who could mentor his intelligence, and steered him in the right direction.

This honestly sounds like the police made up a kid to pin a bunch of crimes on and went overboard with it. This actually being real is insane.

The fact that he never hurt anyone makes it even better

12:10 Yeah he didn’t show up for the offer of $50,000 and free legal representation because the anonymous donor was probably the FBI 😂. They were being sarcastic, I’m sure they meant after you turn yourself in we’ll give you $50,000 in food and shelter a year in prison and the state will give you a public defender for free to represent you 😂😂

CPS never fails to live up to their disappointing legacy of ignoring the kids who actually need help and rob children from healthy homes.

The fact that he landed all those planes without dying or being critically hurt is insane

Hard to dislike Colton. Smart, resourceful, nonviolent, methodical, came from nothing. If he was raised by a good mother, his odds would have drastically improved.

He needed some love.

The barefoot bandit, I remember all this. This kid is legendary, I've been waiting on the movie forever. He broke into a store, if I remember right, found a laptop with flight a simulator stayed the night there and practiced. Next day he stole his first plane and struck out across the country. His ingenuity and natural intelligence are off the charts. Everyone can learn something from his story.
