  Taylor this question never has an answer. There has been so many fantastic guitarist, that have all written incredible great music that will be remembered and enjoyed FOREVER.

  A guitarist who isn&apos;t on your list, but I really like, is Kiko Loureiro from Angra and Megadeth, that guy is really good. By the way, I recommend you react to Carry On (Official) by Angra, the guitar solo is insane.

  For me it&apos;s the toys when he was 16 &nbsp;so sad he good at singing and writing too so nowadays he is not practice guitar much anymore

  You definitely should do more of these. I like how you mentioned Paul Gilbert maybe... he&apos;s definitely one of those and would also throw in Buckethead who took lessons from PG. Also another guy with crazy pinky skills and maybe the best shredder to ever do it is Shawn Lane and also PG and Bucketheads bigger inspirations. The way dude leads with his pinky and bends is crazy. You definitely could do many videos Ike these, I havent even gotten to mentioning SteveVai, Joe Satriani, Yngve Malmsteen etc... point is we need more lol.

  I would never be able to say who is the greatest but it seems it&apos;s a game the media plays. Different time periods, different technologies, different styles, different genres. &nbsp;A good number of other great guitarists - Jason Becker, Nuno &nbsp;Bennencourt, Buckethead, Roy Clark, Eddie Van Halen, Pinxi Liu, Tony MacAlpine, Frank Marino, Yngwie Malmsteen, Randy Rhodes, Blues Saraceno, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, SRV, Sakura Yoshida among others.

  I enjoyed this video. My first husband once went to see Eric Johnson without me, which could be a big part of the reason we divorced. 🙃 I haven&apos;t listened to much Derek Trucks, but I chatted with his uncle (Allman Brothers drummer) Butch Trucks at a party one night back in the late 80s. I&apos;ve seen BB several times and I&apos;m sure I&apos;ve probably told you the story of the time I got to go backstage. He was such a gentleman! Chris felt that Guthrie Govan is the most impressive living guitarist of our time. I&apos;ve never seen him live, but the next time The Aristocrats pass this way I&apos;m grabbing a ticket.

  Yeah I like this and would like to see more. I am one of those good v bad people (or ‘I like it’ v ‘I dont really like it’). In my heart i am a guitarist, in reality I can play one song badly on the clarinet (no, that is not as cool, no need to tell me) But I am really fascinated with what makes a great guitar player. It’s obviously subjective to a degree, or on the other hand &nbsp;if you break it down to technical KPI’s it would be pointless. Your explanation of note choice vs speed and accuracy is a great place for me to start to understand it.

  There are probably 100 or more guitarists in my top 10. 😅 &nbsp;<br>Derek Trucks, Eric Gales, Jeff Beck, Roy Clark, Al DiMeola, just to name a few.<br>When it comes to music it’s about the emotion the artist is able to convey.
