Excellent balance on a swivel torso, you make it look easy. You bring back some excellent and exciting memories of 1982 when I paddled my brand new Perception Dancer kayak from Ponce to Pruitt in 1.9 hours. The National Park ranger tried his best to convince me to not risk my life paddling the river @ a level of 4 inches of water pouring over the Ponca low water bridge. He wondered about my sanity as I peeled out solo into the main current alone. I tried to reassure him I knew the river well, had a solid roll and wore a high quality life jacket, while wearing a dry suit for warmth. He related he worked at the Pruitt ranger station on 7 and I told him I would be there in a couple of hours. He knew my car was there at the Pruitt take out and the look of relief on his face spoke volumes as I walked in, dripping wet, into the front door of the Pruitt ranger station 1 hour and 55 minutes later. The gentleman genuinely cared about my welfare, and I thanked him for his sincere concern.
