Finally I’ve found a friendly, honest, conscientious electrician who is actually focused on the job in hand and not all about themselves and how good they think they are. Well done young man. Be proud of yourself and keep up the amazing work you are doing. YouTube and the world need more professional people like yourself.

As a network engineer, I use the same principle, divide and conquer, split the network, find which half is faulty, then divide the next part again and again to narrow down the fault, a proven fault diagnosis technique. Love the upload, your a great narrator, you explain it in layman's terms for all to enjoy! Brilliant!

Yeah. The lifts go into fire mode when the fire alarm is activated. It sends and locks them to the ground floor, so firefighters can insert their key and use the lifts to move equipment and people.

I've often found those wiska boxes that they do get condensation in side causing problems. .mount them upright glands at the bottom and a small drain hole 👍

Retired now, but used to do systematic process of elimination fault finding for an Electrician.
I honestly knew from the start it would be Water retention, or condensation not venting.
Once I was called to a Hotel, the corridor lights were dead short tripping. Eight hours later it turned out to be a parallel Infrared sensor on the ceiling.

I was called to a Caravan where the site Electrician had all but given up. Lights were working, but switch the Kettle on or plug in a Toaster, and it would RCD trip under load.
I did my resistance test from a socket,, (don't ask!). Isolated the Smoke Alarms. Turned out to be an alarm that was replaced with a Battery substitute, the "maintenance" staff had disconnected the mains alarm, and shoved the bare ended wires into the roof space in amongst the insulation which was damp from condensation (this condensation is normal in a Caravan).
I advised the young site Electrician to log a complaint with his Line Manager to stop this Cowboy Maintenance practice from touching anything Electrical. 🌩

You call it a "croc[odile] clip" and we call it an "alligator clip". I have to admit the alliteration of "croc clip" is pretty good.

As a retired electrical engineer I take my hat off to you, I almost gave up on the young professionals, but I'n glad to see there are still young men like you that know how to analyze and solve a problem.

When you found the junction box after the roof switch, instead of going all the way down to the consumer unit, as the wires were already disconnected at that end, the two circuits that the box was feeding disconnected both and resistance tested them. This would have shown you that the circuit to the lamp had the fault in it. Then tested the feed between the switch from the main feed and the other light circuit, showing it clear. Saving you from having to go all the way back down to the consumer unit.
