  Bought a new Mack in 1980 for dump truck. Still have it and still working hard. Looks like it will outlast me.

  They have the engines intermixed. The ENDT 675 was 672 C.I. It did not have an inter-cooler or a tip turbine and developed 237 H.P. The ENDT 676 was the same block, but with the tip turbine and inter-cooler put out 685 H.P. They were designated as the E6 engines. I have not worked for Mack since 1994 and still say &quot;We&quot;. Great trucks and great experience for a young technician.

  I loved my 300 Maxadyne with 5 SPD and 3.87 axle 24.5 rubber, &nbsp;mine had a dynatard and as long as you downshifted &nbsp;it at the top and didn&apos;t let her get ahead of you &nbsp; you were in good shape ! She wasn&apos;t a 100 mph truck but she would still get you a ticket at 82 mph <br>I loved my super dog !

  I currently own a &apos;84 W model with an E model 300+ Maxidine....hooked to the 5 speed Mack transmission....it has a gold Bulldog but lost its camelback suspension and Mack rear ends....<br>I can not believe how this little engine pulls its heart out and hangs in a pull at 1200 rpm.....love my truck

  Worked maintaining a fleet in early 80s. They brought in a new fleet of Macks while we still were running an old fleet with Detroits. All the gear jammers hated the low rpm 5 speeds at first just like the video reported but the ability to make a pass into the wind eventually made believers out of them. After the first year, all the senior drivers insisted they got a Mack. Very durable too.

  That little Bull Dog saved my life. &nbsp;Back in day I was cruising down I5 at 55, when the truck in front of me lost part of its load and a huge sheet of of multi-ply came flying edge one straight at my windshield. That little Bulldog caught it right on and split it clean in half and the halfs flew to either side of my cab.

  I worked for the NYSDOT and we had 73 and 75 Macks plowing snow, great power and reliability.

  I drove for a company that had a fleet of 5-speed Maxidynes. &nbsp;It was always a challenge training drivers who came from a Roadranger—they couldn’t get used to the bigger gaps between gears which translated to slower shifting. &nbsp;CRUNCH! &nbsp;CRUNCH!
