I do like a person who pauses to think before answering.

I hope GQ will continue this video series no matter how many or how few hits it gets. Because this video changed my understandings about religion more than all of the materials I consumed put together.

Most Surprising thing about this interview is that there was no mention of Brexit from Alastair.

Although I'm basically an agnostic, I find Welby to be very thoughtful, low key, and humble; he seems to be completely lacking in the pomposity one often associates with figures in high positions in the clergy. It's very refreshing to hear him admit that he struggles with certain issues and does not have a clear answer. He seems like he could have a reasonable conversation with just about anyone.

Justine Welby comes across very grounded and a great advocate for the faith. How refreshing - it warms you to Christianity and I liked him even more when he admitted he has struggles, carries doubts and hasn't got it all figured out. Wow.

Alistair Campbell is an excellent interviewer--asking the tough questions without being nasty. And the Archbishop has wonderfully engaged in this with absolute honesty. We need more interviews like this.

I really find the Archbishop of Canterbury fascinating, well-read, not pompous in anyway at all. Infact humility is the description I would use. An extremely intelligent, wise & genuinely honest man (quite frightening and, one would understand why I said that if you listen to all the conversations they had) and yet quite witty. I love his explanation of the Scripture Romans that Alistair Campbell mentioned that his sister read that morning and then asked him to expand on, and his explanation of God's love for all humans regardless whether you are an atheist or not with other examples is telling. I love and have deep respect for him.
