Just for clarification, the scout looks and kinda sounds like Jerma, so the devs made it canon that the scouts name is "Jeremy"

"We need to respect the Sasha! We need to be doing whatever we can to protect the Sasha-"

...unexpected, slightly questionable worship of the Sasha's Machine Spirit will be noted. And also respected.

according to what I heard, the whole "Sandvich" short had a script... but the actors lost it before recording. So, rather than waste time trying to find it, they decided to just improvise the entire thing.

14:39 This is half-true at best. Jerma didn't voice this character, but he was a big name in the TF2 community back in the day, and he got compared to the Scout constantly, because they're both from Boston. He was such a big name in that community, Valve named the Scout Jeremy after Jerma's real name.

04:15 canonically Heavy, when he is with his family in Russia, kills bears for consumption (to the point that his mother is tired of bear meat).

Every other hero shooter carved up these 9 and turned hyper specific subclasses into different characters. It certainly makes the newcomer experience to tf2 overwhelming when everyone can do everything.
