My mother died when I was five. I then lost my whole family. An aunt said she’d take me in and instead dropped me off at a Catholic orphanage. I spent years there. There was no love or comfort offered. Instead I was taught about an angry God that was ready to punish me. I was made to start working in the orphanage. I learned from that experience I wanted nothing to do with the Catholic Church. I’m not bitter or angry. I know from experience our Father protected my heart.

I was raised Catholic. We attended church regularity when I was very young. I attended bible classes towards getting my communion. After several months attending those classes I begged my mom to take me out. She did. I never got my communion. I fell away from God, but as a teenager became closer again. Followed Herbert W. Armstrong’s teachings until after he died and his church fell into turmoil. Then fell away again for decades. Fast forward and my SIL wanted me to become Godfather to their son. To do so, I had to get my communion. I started classes again reluctantly. Attending several classes until they told us we would have to “canvass” folks at malls etc. Told my wife I draw the line at doing that. Dropped out, and never became Godfather to my nephew. I truly found God again after much personal suffering. I clearly understand how evil the Catholic Church is, and looking back now, even as I young child, God gave me discernment to understand that.

I was raised Catholic and went to Catholic school grades 1-8. This was in the 1960s. I always thought there was something missing in my life. I look back now and believe the Holy Spirit was drawing me to a right relationship with God even then. When I became a Christian when my daughter was 6 months old, my mother became very angry and told me I was the first person in the family to "throw off my religion." When I purchased my first bible, I was surprised to see that the Catholics had their own bible! I thought that was really odd. I remember very well the teachers (nuns) telling us in school that we shouldn't read the bible because we wouldn't be able to understand it ... that the priest would read it and explain it to us. I also remember them telling us that we should never, ever visit a church of a different denomination.

It’s amazing that if folks just opened their bibles and read it things would change. I was in a dead church never read the scriptures now I’m saved thank you Lord

Any church, denomination or institution that takes your eyes off of Christ and his perfect finished work on the cross should be avoided! Well done brother Peters, God bless you and your ministry. To God be all the Glory!

50 years in the Catholic church, never knew if I was going to heaven or hell. Tried so hard to keep the 10 commandments, failed miserably! Always thought there would never be enough family members to pray for me to get me out of hell, i suffered terrible nightmares as a child. Now a Born again Christian. Thankyou Jesus for changing my life, thankyou for paying the price that I should pay! Thahkyou God for your mercy, love, forgiveness, and your never ending grace. I will be forever eternally grateful. Thankyou God, for sending Jesus Christ to to die for me and for all who would ever believe in Him
