Has the Detailing Scene Surpassed Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax?

  I really got in to detailing back in 2019.. This was one of the products I remember using early on and thinking it was pure wizardry 😅.. 6/7 years later, and god knows how much money down the drain on detailing products, I might just have to revisit this gem. Great Video Jon.

  I got into scrupulously cleaning cars in 2023, it really helped me get through a family bereavement, megs  was the first lot of gear I bought literally one of everything halfords had on the shelf, I like the easy of use of the Megs gear, now I have many more brands thanks to your channel

  It never convinced me enough to buy it, maybe its price in my country. In the battle with turtle wax hybrid ceramic spray coating, the latter won.

  The Meg's ceramic liquid wax in the green bottle is an absolute dream to apply and looks great. Meg's ease of use of use is worth the few extra coin 😁

  The turtle wax version of this was the easiest to use. Didn’t bead like this one, but was so easy to use and lasted a long time and was really cheap.

  We’re lucky to live in a time where there are several similar performing products so we can hunt out a great deal. There may be differences and preferences for some brands but overall they all do a good job of protecting between washes or up to 3 months.

  When this product first came out, there were mixed reactions on it. I think the instructions werent the best metbod. Someone on youtube showed to mist a few sprays per panel, spread with a damp(not driping wet) microfibre towel, let it almost haze for a min or so then buff with dry towel. I tried this and got great results. Lasted well over 3 months in an Aussie summer.

  Great video Jon. I love the videos where older products get re-tested. It's mad how this product came out in early 2019 - that's 7 years ago now! The early reviews are still fresh in my memory.

  That is a very impressive product, which produces amazing results, it’s definitely still relevant in the detailing world.<br>I am a keen amateur detailing enthusiast, &nbsp;I successfully completed your detailing fundamentals course a few years ago John.<br>With ultimate paint protection in mind, I had my Škoda Fabia professionally ceramic coated, when it was nearly new.<br>It’s one of the best choices I ever made, all I have to do now is a maintenance wash, with a quick and easy ceramic protectant top up, (recommended by the company who did the coating).<br>Nearly two years on, no scratches or swirls, and most importantly no cutting or polishing, as we all know there is only so much clear coat to play with.
