How many shows nowadays show a happily married middle-aged couple? I absolutely love seeing Reg's marriage and how happy they are together! :D

A small thing I noticed, when Wexford was on the train reading, the book was by Barbara Vine aka Ruth Rendell

I love being able to watch these again. A beautiful respite from the ultra saturated, over-directed noise that's been churned out for the last 20 years.

Oh look at Reg and Dora dancing.... so lovely to depict a couple over 60 still in love and not caring who knows it!! Brilliant.

"Nothin' wrong with my hearing, or me marbles". I like this line from Nana.

Watching the Wexford series is a breath of fresh air & relief from all the violence in most action movies. Love them, thank you for posting them Paul Goddard.

The expression "that'll stop him from laughing in church" is an old-fashioned English idiom used to describe a sudden, sobering event that will quickly put an end to someone's arrogance, frivolous behavior, or smug attitude. This show is rich with local idioms amongst the abundance of words unintelligible to us in America . . . and they obviously confuse the closed caption engine, lol

Love it. Wexford’s on the ferry going over to France and is reading a Barbara Vine novel, who, is Ruth Rendell wring Under another name. Clever!

Rule # 1 for a woman getting off a bus and walking home in the dark. Do not laugh in the face of the person following you!

I love the part where Reg is lying in bed, asleep? and Dora comes up to him and he grabs her, pulls her onto the bed and kisses her. A real married couple.
