  I'm a Catholic priest who studied with Pastor Andrew in the seminary. I remember him to be earnest and honest in his desire for Christ. I'm edified to see that endure in his life and prayerfully wish him continued blessing.

  Bishop Barron has said that Luther was essentially a mystic of grace, and if cooler heads had prevailed on both sides in the 16th century, a Lutheran order might have arisen in the Catholic Church. Pope Benedict said that Luther’s formulation of Sola Fide is essentially correct, so long as it is understood to entail a faith that works itself out in love. Catholics and Lutherans are closer than we often realize.

  Andrew, I see a reflection of myself in your conversation with us.  I grew up Roman Catholic, as you did.  I enlisted in the Air Force out of high school and then met a girl who didn’t want to be Roman Catholic.  I was Confirmed a Lutheran in 1976.  Years later, my wife left the church and me.  While teaching anatomy & physiology at a local community college, I was restless.  I joined the Navy Reserve and then became an officer in the Medical Service Corps of the Air Force, all while teaching and being a paramedic part time.  I entered the ordained ministry of the Lutheran Church, first as a Deacon and 10 years later I was Ordained a Pastor.  Retiring from teaching, I received another worker/priest Call and continue to serve.  I retired, and still serve as a pastor doing what I love.  Your zeal for Lutheran doctrine  mirrors my own.  Thanks for sharing your story!  God bless you, dear brother!  As someone says “Roman Catholics make the best Lutherans”.  Your story validates that saying as I say it myself.  Oh, and God granted me a wonderful Lutheran wife 23 years ago, and she is my strength and support.

  I really appreciate this channel.  Theres always this narrative on social media that everyone is just becoming EO or catholic, so its refreshing to see the opposite and watching very intelligent, faithful catholics become Lutheran.

  Man you know I was just thinking a week or so ago that it’d be nice if more Lutherans posted more conversion stories coming into the lutheran Church like the Romans do and low and behold I end up finding your channel doing exactly that.

  Please pray for me ..!! I’m being persecuted by my own Puerto Rican Pentecostal family and even witchcraft of the Puerto Rican culture families , I wish to become part of the Lutheran faith but sadly , they have been physically persecuting me for years .!!

  I, too, am a former RC priest ( Norbertine Fathers) as well as a USAF Chaplain. My wife and I worship at a local LCMS church and will soon make a formal commitment to the Lutheran church there.  At this time I do not sense a call to be a Lutheran pastor. Thank you for the interview.
