  Kathy Burke is the most wonderful actress and such a genuine personality with no pretence, a lovely woman and a talented human being who has brought so much joy to so many of us.

  Kathy is so natural and genuine and she has always given me the impression she would have time for anyone. A very funny lady, and not appreciated enough.

  Kathy Burke is WAY overdue a Damehood.<br>She is one of a dwindling number of true, gritty actors who are able to play absolutely any role given to them.<br>Who else could play Glennis in Scrubbers, &nbsp;Magda in Absolutely Fabulous then go on in later life to play Linda in Gimme, Gimme, Gimme. <br>I&apos;ve been lucky enough to have worked with Kathy over the past 30 years.<br>She has remained grounded and is as down to earth off screen as she is on.<br>Although she has stepped back from acting on TV, she remains very active throughout the country as a Theatrical Director and she can still be seen on the big screen. <br>A true acting legend and I&apos;d happily say she is a National Treasure (Even though she&apos;s going to tell me to f*ck off for saying this).

  Worked with her on Tom Jones, I was an extra, and she introduced herself to everyone and was happy to chat to anyone, she even told me about a couple of sketches that she was going to do in the Christmas special of Harry Enfield and friends, a totally lovely lady, smoked like a chimney, swore like a docker, a brilliant lady.

  Kathy was in my year at secondary school. I&apos;ve followed her career closely.<br>She was the same then as she is now. Very funny and so down to earth. None of us knew how hard she had it at home. I didn&apos;t see this when it was originally aired,so thank you for posting it.

  her performance in gary oldmans Nil by Mouth, as a battered housewife opposite ray winston, is the most realistic performance i have ever seen in any movie ever. She is tremendous.

  Have always loved Kathy Burke - an amazing actress, whether in drama or comedy. Michael Parkinson was brilliant too, though I&apos;m glad Kathy corrected his &apos;drunkard&apos; term in the classiest way when talking about her father.
