I’m 64. In September I will be starting a 3 year degree in Computer Science at university. It’s given me a reason to exist

I remember being on a train at work and being absolutely depressed about being at work and how crappy my day was going. I then looked out my window and just 8 feet away from the rail and slag was grass then trees then all the birds and animals. It was that moment that I realized that there were 2 physical realities happening at the same time, I was working in a social network but also living in nature and nature was getting the back seat in my life. Now I put nature as my guide and live in a society in a more relaxed way.

Individuals like Jung appear only once in a while. When they are most needed.

We practice death everynight as we sleep. Don’t worry about it.

My father went into hospice in 1988 and passed in 1989. He stopped being afraid because he was a big Jung fan. I watched dad pass and it was traumatic. Dad wasn’t afraid at all. His passing wasn’t easy but he was fearless.

This is what critical thinking looks like. We all need to do more of that, but each of us will face our impending death differently of course. My husband of 44 years just passed this April 2023. Our dog just this passed weekend. Having my dog and cat was very helpful, but now it's just my cat, my buddy. Phone calls end, trips out end, friends go home. Then your left alone to grieve and learn however slowly to accept. Not only the loss of your loved one, but to create a life without them. I know he's on the otherside, but more than that, he's the lucky one. He doesn't have to grieve for me, just wait for me. I'm only 65. He died just before turning 66. Say I love you always to those you care for and love. Tomorrow is not promised, only hoped for.

Dr. Jung knows what he's talking about. I am 68 and live in a seniors building. I am at the gym everyday and have more plans for the future now than I ever had in my life. If you're smart, life does get better.

What he said at the end stands out to me. "If you think along the lines of nature, you think properly"

When you look forward to what's in front of you as a great adventure, not back to what has been. Then, the possibility of living as if for centuries takes over. What an absolute 💯 wise man Mr. Jung was 🙏

He talks about time and space and its relationship to the human consciousness which is a fascinating subject. Once you grasp that our perception of time of space are in fact created by our own brains rather than merely observed by them then it opens up incredible possibilities about our experience of life and death.
