  One of the most glorious experiences in my life was seeing him dance in person! I floated out of the theater knowing that at that moment I could die blissfully happy!

  Mikhail Baryshnikov when he does jumps I notice that he stays in the air until he completes whatever he is doing. He is incredible.

  Before Baryshnikov defected we couldn&apos;t see a full performance of his. We got glimpses of the genius. <br>I remember when he defected. It felt like a gift to the world.

  I love that he hasn&apos;t lost his accent. This many years later, he still has his dialect.

  When I watch Baryshnikov dance I sense that I’m watching one of a handful of people who managed to reach his full human potential both physically &amp; artistically. It’s hard to imagine the level of effort that made him what he became. But, I can and do imagine God looking down at Baryshnikov, smiling at what he’s done with the gifts God gave him, and wishing the rest of us could push aside petty pursuits of money &amp; other corrupting influences to do the same.
