Snoop is so chilled and soft spoken. He’s like a fine wine. He’s gotten better with age 😍

Snoop is one of the GOATs...an underrated artist one of the best flows and cadences in hip hop, one of the only rappers to outshine Eminem on a track (D 2 The LBC), can freestyle off the dome well, sold 800k 1st week back in 1993 when the population size was much lower and rap was way less popular...only 50 cent did that 10 years later when rap was way more popular and population size higher...he opened many doors for rappers

People can say what they want about Snoop but when he came out with Dre on the Deep Cover joint everybody went crazy wanting to know more about him and his music. Then obviously Dre had him on the Chronic and the hype went into orbit. Doggy Style got people I know that claimed to hate hip hop playing that shit all over the goddam place. There was no escaping that record or Snoop in 94.

When snoop came out with his debut album Doggystyle in 93 I had heard of him because of Dre but I was not allowed to listen to rap music because my parents were religious. Any rap I heard was at school with my friends whom my parents didn't care for either. It stayed like that until I turned 18 in 95 and my parents couldn't tell me anything anymore I was working and making my own money. The FIRST THING I DID with my first check was go buy DOGGYSTYLE which was already 2 yrs old at this point I remember sitting there in my room hearing that intro when he's in the tub and as soon as he started talking I was already mesmerized and what followed was completely magical to my ears I couldn't believe how hard and how smooth snoop was on every single track it was like a kid eating a box of sugar and going into shock.when I stepped out of my room that day I had changed I was no longer a timid shy youngster with church parents I had a new persona and I bought all new clothes..khakis and chucks and white tees. I smoked weed for the first time a week later and bought a necklace with a gold leaf pendant. I bought cool water cologne and got my first bald fade haircut and got into my first couple real fights nobody i went to school with recognized me i was a different person..i got respect. There was females coming to my home knocking on my door at 12am and my parents were in shock they didn't recognize me I wasn't mijo anymore. I was a motherfuckin hustler....the rest is history. My mother refers to snoop as El Diablo to this day because she says he took her son. Lol I'm 46 yrs old now and have 2 daughters and a home ...grandma still hasn't let it go.
