My name is Bobby Mahan and my mother's maiden name was Vance from a small town in Oklahoma. Her father's name was Clifford Vance and was a man of the earth, he told me how the family always gave to other's with out a second thought. Thank you for this story it makes me wonder if I'm related to the family you describe.
