I grew up on the reservation. Turok was one of the few pieces of Native American representation in modern media, at the time. My mom worked at a video rental store and used to bring me game consoles and video games all the time. I'll never forget when she brought me Turok. She was so excited to see a Native American in a video game, so she wanted to play it with me. We had no idea how the hell to play the game as I was quite young at the time. We didn't even have a color tv yet! Then Turok 2 came out and we were hooked! I still haven't beat either game, to this day. Thanks for the video

I got up at 3 am to play this as early as possible as I could only play on weekends. Ah, technicalities.

I’ll go back and play Turok Dinosaur Hunter once a year since ‘97. That game aged so well and reminds me of summertime in my childhood.

I knew about Turok since before the game, because of the comics.

That's why I was so excited about this game, definitely one of the best games of all time.

The original Turok dinosaur hunter game was one of the first games I got as a child on the N64.

I found the Turok controls to be really intuitive and fluid. I know a lot of people complained about them but I felt they took maximum advantage of the ergonomics of the N64's controller and they seemed to translate to your hand-eye coordination better than any other system I could imagine, especially with all the jumping. I must say Goldeneye felt like a step backwards when it came to movement, although you couldn't jump in that game and so the motion didn't need to be as dynamic.
