When I was a kid, I thought this was the best movie ever made. Then I grew up, matured, learned a lot about film, and confirmed that it is indeed the best movie ever made.

For decades now, there has been a theory that Mason is merely a pseudonym—and that he is, in fact, James Bond, sacrificed by the British government to avert a scandal. This even aligns chronologically with certain Bond stories, and from this perspective, it makes the character all the more entertaining.<br>Best regards from Germany.

Another great Sean Connery movie that seems to be forgotten is "The Name of the Rose". Awesome movie where Connery plays a 14th century friar Sherlock Homes type.

Yes, The Rock is secretly a James Bond movie. The timeline of his Bond movues matches with the events of The Rock(except Never Say Never Again which is a non-canon Bond movie) There are videos out there explaining the timeline and events leading up to The Rock. He even said some of the same lines from his Bond movies. It's a great final farewell to his Bond character.
