Im happy to grow up in the Philippines being raised in a culture where respect and love for parents as well as taking care of them when they get old is a common practice. Raising a family of my own here in the 🇺🇸 personally I would not want to obligate my kids to take care of me when I get old but I hope and pray at least that the great love and respect for parents is really instilled in them. Something that I hope they can pass on to their kids as well. ❤❤❤

  I learned to love SB19 because their ballads have real meaning, lessons, and impact. Like QUIT, TIME &amp; MAPA.<br>This song, in particular, reminds me of how blessed I am to have the parents I have today. At the same time, it reminds me that as an adult, I have a responsibility to work hard, chase my dreams, and become someone who can give back to them. I hope that as they grow older, I’ll be able to take care of my parents and give them the love, comfort, and support they deserve. They’ve done so much for me, and I hope one day I can bless them in return.🤍

  They range in age from 32 to 28. They&apos;ve been together training for over 10 years and as a formally announced group for over 8 years! As for a documentary, &nbsp;the highly suggested Cashual Chuck eight part docuseries is a good start for international fans. Episode 1 is called Soundbreak and was actually a remake of the original episode as new information came to light. It will introduce you to each member and how they came together! Chuck is just a fanboy that really gets behind SB19 and is actively helping to promote the group to a global stage! MaPa has been used in graduation ceremonies all over the Philippines, sung by the students to their parents. This is the magic of SB19!<br>By the way, The First Take dropped the last line of the translation for some reason. Stell finishes by saying I&apos;ll be taking care of you now! Brilliant writing by Pablo as the song came to light from when they were doing laundry away from home. Pablo asked them what they would want to say to their parents.

  This is a beautiful tribute to their parents. The title, &quot;MAPA&quot; is a portmanteau on so many levels<br><br>MA-Mama<br>PA-Papa<br>Mapa - map<br>Ma-mata (eyes)<br>Pa-paa ( feet)<br><br>As you can see, they incorporated all this in the lyrics and I hope that this helps in understanding the depth of this song and how special it is. You see, in the Philippines, we have what&apos;s called OFW -Overseas Filipino Worker, which refers to so many millions of Pinoys go outside of the Philippines to work to help support their families. Sometimes, one or both parents are gone fornyears, onlt coming back one in a while for a vacation and it&apos;s a very commom thing. Wish that it didnt have to be that way, but you can find Filipinos EVERYWHERE around the world. In Filipino culture, it&apos;s a normal thing to take care of our parents as they get old because we do not bave old age homes in the Philippines. It&apos;s a generational thing where a household will have on to three generations living together. We&apos;re very communal and very family oriented. Now, times are changing that theres are families who, the parents, are on their own but still, family ties are very strong. <br><br>These guys are so so so underrated. If you want to know more about them, Filipino content creator Casual Chuck did a phenomenal deep dive on these guys. Worth a watch to understand these guys.

  A&apos;tin will turn up for you if you want to livestream. We&apos;re always happy when someone new gets into them. And I think the reason people are drawn to them isn&apos;t just about their talent, it&apos;s because people can tell that there&apos;s something truly genuine about them. They make music that actually has something to say, and every time they perform, you can tell that they mean every word. Like they must have performed MAPA hundreds of times by now but they never seem like they&apos;re just going through the motions.
