The man was and still is a legend. Absolutely loved engineering, stone masonry and churches, anything British made.

Yes it’s his son, second marriage! At his funeral the only thing on his coffin was his old flat cap, that finished me 😢

No, Fred's son Jack did not become a Steeplejack, but he continued Fred's interest in engineering. Fred died in his bed, he never had an accident at work. The few chimneys that are left are looked after with all sorts of safety gear etc. Doing things the Dibnah way just wouldn't be allowed.

He's not doing exercises on the ledge, he's getting the blood back into his arms again. So flicking his arms increases blood flow .
