  Im korean american and I used to think pale skin looked ok but now I see that when your face doesnt match your neck color. Nuh uh. Just love yourself and trust me dont follow these kind of people.  Skin lightening can make your skin more fragile and sensitive. Aging isnt a bad thing.

  Pale skin is seen as beautiful because WAAAY back when, people who worked the fields would tan and those with wealth were inside all day. Nowadays most korean beauty products contain ‘bleaching properties’. <br>Remember geisha’s paint their faces white too

  Let&apos;s be reminded WHY it&apos;s a &quot;beauty standard&quot;... Back in the day, lighter skin was associated with being wealthy because you spent more time inside. Darker skin was associated with poor people who were outside long hours of the day doing manual work.<br>It originally was classist and colorist before they &quot;met other races,&quot; but still firmly believing in these &quot;trends&quot; in 2026 seems EXTREMELY ignorant. She is grown enough and well-traveled enough to know that saying &quot;makeup is prettier on pale skin&quot; is extremely racist.
