  My grandfather was pulled out of the audience on the Merv Griffin show to do a card trick with Orson.  Orson passed away that night after filming the show. Kind of neat to think that my pop was the last person to do a magic trick with him.

  I’ve seen every Orson Welles interview, and I hate that because I can’t stop listening and yearn for more each time: no matter how many I hear, I always want more. He’s endlessly fascinating, a raconteur overflowing with knowledge and expression, a wayward contradiction of an idealized America he longed to see, but one our nation’s greed, corruption, and moral rot would never allow to exist.

  You know how people always ask , "If you could have dinner with anyone living or dead, who would you choose?", Orson is and will forever remain my number one choice. I don't think I've ever seen\heard a more interesting human . He was a true unique.

  There is a treasure trove of surviving radio programs staring Orson Welles, comedy and drama...news and theater. All free for the taking and any time I drive a distance or go to bed, I can find material I have not heard before.
