  Canadian Army veteran  Wounded in Bosnia, my brothers carried me to safety under fire during a mortar attack.  I need say no more.

  I lost my Brother in 1986, I was only 18 , he was 21. We loved Dire Straits together. I’m 55 now, miss him every moment of everyday. Why are the good always taken early, he was my real Brother. I miss you Peter 🥰🌟👌🏻👍. Thank you Royal Marines for playing Sweet Music 🥰🌟👍👌🏻🥃🥃

  I was a soldier in the Dutch army and I was deployed twice to Somalia and Afghanistan and we lost 12 Brothers rip 🫡🫡

  Let&apos;s give her credit: &nbsp;the singer is Lance Corporal Emily Smith, from Northern Ireland, who served in Afghanistan. &nbsp;You can see her Afghanistan Operational Service Medal at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eCsC8g2cwE&amp;t=175">2:55</a>. &nbsp;Most of the time it&apos;s hidden by her holding the microphone. &nbsp;The highly skilled guitarist was Sergeant Major (RSM) Terry Watkin.

  As a former Officer in the US Army, served in both Op Iraqi Freedom &amp; Enduring Freedom, when I listen to this song alone today I sob bc I don’t live in America anymore <br><br>I know the whys &amp; hows that contributed to our descent into soft authoritarianism but will never understand or forget who supported this man in 24-25-26…I may not be able to forgive either bc he’s set our country back by a generation or two…that’s how long it’s going to take to repair, rebuild, and restore our credibility in the eyes of the world…particularly our English COUSINS <br><br>Please don’t judge all of us for this loud minority who have hi jacked our nation

  I&apos;m a french air force veteran, and my daughter is now a NCO in the french air force, and this song makes think that the link has not been broken. We are all members of this chain, whatever have been our uniforms, our brotherhood is bigger than anything else. Long live the Royal Marines.

  What I find even more emotional than the song itself (which send me crying eventhough I&apos;m not in the army) is the amount of comments from veterans here. Each one has a story to tell, but I read that many veterans are lonely and feel deserted. I think of you all and those who gave up their lives. Unbelievable.

  I played this one for my dad who spent two tours in the South Pacific on those bloody islands. &nbsp;He cried, and so did I. &nbsp;He died two weeks later of a brain hemorrhage. &nbsp;None of us ever saw it coming. &nbsp;That was in 2002, and I still miss him terribly.
